Where can I sell or buy equipment?
From recall, In The Base Of The Council Tower, go 4 east then 1 south then 1 east. This is the weapon shop.
The armor shop is 1 south from the weapon shop.
The general store, where you can sell treasure, is one south of the armor shop.
There are more shops but those you'll have to find on your own.
